The Produce Grower of the Year Award recognises Sydney Markets Fruit and Vegetable Growers who demonstrate a high degree of competence across a range of criteria including Product Quality, Consistency, Presentation, Customer Service and how the business operates within the Sydney Growers Market.
All produce growers who have a stall and trade in Sydney Growers Markets can be nominated or self-nominate for this Award.
Step 1: Each nominee will be required to support their nomination by providing Sydney Markets Limited (SML) with the contact details for 3 buying customers.
Step 2: The buyers will be asked to complete an online survey assessing the grower on quality, consistency, customer service, presentation and ordering process.
Step 3: All information will be gathered and scores tallied to determine the top four finalists for the Produce Grower of The Year Award.
Step 4: SML will conduct site/farm inspections of the four finalists – judging on presentation, infrastructure, innovation, cleanliness and environmental management.
Step 5: The winner will be announced at the 2025 Fresh Awards event.
